Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ProdUp AS handles personal data. We have tried to keep it short and readable, without wrapping the important parts in legal language.

Data controller

ProdUp AS (org. no. 827 655 872), registered in Oslo, Norway, is the data controller for the information described here. Questions can be sent to contact@produp.ai.

What we collect

From leads and contact requests: name, email address, phone number, and company name when you fill out a form, request a demo, or otherwise reach out to us.

From website visits: IP address, browser information, and usage data via cookies. More on this under “Cookies”.

From customers with an account: username, email, user role, and activity logs from the platform. The product data that customers upload into ProdUp is owned by the customer and processed on their behalf under a data processing agreement.

Legal basis

We rely on three legal bases under GDPR:

  • Consent when you actively choose to share information with us, for example by signing up for our newsletter or accepting cookies.
  • Legitimate interest for analyzing website usage, running marketing to relevant businesses in the watch and jewelry trade, and improving our service.
  • Performance of a contract when we deliver the platform to paying customers.

Who we share data with

We use the following providers to operate the service. Each has signed a data processing agreement with us:

  • Pressable for website hosting
  • Google Cloud for infrastructure and storage
  • ClickUp for CRM and customer follow-up
  • n8n for internal workflow automation
  • Anthropic for AI features in the platform
  • Gmail (Google Workspace) for email communication

We never sell personal data to anyone.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers, including Google and Anthropic, are based in the United States. Transfers are made under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), together with supplementary safeguards provided by each vendor.

How long we keep data

  • Leads and contact requests: up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted.
  • Customer data: for the duration of the contract, and up to 12 months after the agreement ends. Accounting and invoicing records are kept longer where law requires.
  • Cookies and usage data: up to 12 months, depending on the type.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you
  • Have incorrect information corrected
  • Request deletion, provided we do not have a legal obligation to retain the data
  • Receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • File a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe we are handling data in breach of the rules

Cookies

The website uses three types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies for the site to function. These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, such as Google Analytics. You can opt out.
  • Marketing cookies for targeted advertising. These are only set with consent.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie banner at the bottom of the site, or block cookies directly in your browser.

Changes

We update this policy when needed, for example when we adopt new tools or when regulations change. The most recent update date is shown at the top.
